The Miami Beach Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival on Lincoln Road Mall is being planned by a team of dedicated Sci-Fi genre aficionados and promises to be a great week of entertainment.

Miami Beach's Lincoln Road has several theaters available including the Colony Theater, Regal South Beach Stadium 18 and even the The Fillmore Miami Beach. We are hoping these theaters will host the Miami Beach Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival with exclusive movie screenings, cast meet & greets and the a director's round table where film fans can interact with some of the biggest names in modern sci-fi film making.

Steeped in the history of entertainment on Miami Beach, the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater dates back to the 1950s when travelers enjoyed shows, dance performances and boxing matches at the famous auditorium. Renovated in 2007, the state of the art performance space will serve as home to the Miami Beach Sci-Fi Film Festival.

Steps away from Lincoln Road Mall, the film festival venues will be close to many budget-friendly hotels and luxurious resorts along Collins Avenue. Running through the heart of South Beach, Lincoln Road Mall is home to the Regal Cinema multiplex as well as top-rated restaurants, designer shops and popular bars and nightclubs. Festival fans will be able to take full advantage of activities all over South Beach without the expense of a rental car.

Miami Beach Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival will bring Sci-Fi film legends and film fans together for a unique celebration on South Beach's Lincoln Road Mall. In addition to moderated panel discussions, Sci-Fi seminars and writer's workshops we will preview upcoming feature films, review some of the most riveting sequences in the History of Sci-Fi and open up the exhibition hall to the top television, media and motion picture studios who bring Sci-fi movies to life. Film enthusiasts can interact with Hollywood's most important talents in Special Effects and Computer Graphics to see exactly how they create the sequences that thrill film audiences around the world.

Past conventions around the country have included the cast members of some of the most highly regarded Sci-Fi and Action films in screen history. Guests can choose from a full roster of screenings throughout the day and attend exclusive Director's Cut presentations moderated by the film's writer & director as well as members of the cast and crew. Imagine the bonus features of all of your favorite Sci-Fi DVDS brought to life in a fully interactive setting!

The Miami Beach Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival will also incorporate Fan Favorites - a fully "on-demand" showcase of the most popular action and sci-fi films as voted on by the producers and every paying member of the festival audience. Ballots will be distributed in the coming months so that the films and filmmakers you want to interact with can be invited to attend the conference.
